DIBRUGARH, APR 28: As part of the Indian Army’s resolve to stand with the Veer Naris, widows of ex- Servicemen and the entire ex-Servicemen fraternity, the Dao Division of Indian Army conducted an Ex-Servicemen welfare camp at the 5 Madras unit of Army in Dibrugarh on Friday.
The event was attended by more than 150 ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and Veterans above 80 years of age. The inaugural address was given by Col. Ravi Pratap Singh, Commanding Officer, 5 Madras, in which, he thanked ex-servicemen fraternity and their families for their services and sacrifies to the nation.
The Dao Division in close liason with concerned Military Establishments and civil administration resolved grievances of its Ex-Servicemen and highlighted various re-employment opportunities available in the district of Dibrugarh.
The ex-Servicemen Welfare Camp provided an opportunity to Veterans and their families to directly interact with both military and civil agencies in resolving impending issues like pension anomalies, monetary benefits to dependents of Physical Casualties soldiers and welfare schemes available from State Government agencies.
Through this Welfare Camp, the Dao Division also informed all ex-servicemen about the MoUs signed for Empanelment by Indian Army with AMCH and other private nursing homes in Dibrugarh.
During the ex-servicemen Welfare Camp, Army military band was played and remembered its War heroes.
The event was a befitting tribute to the sacrifices and selfless services of our Veterans and their families.
