Pahargam Terror Attack : Gujarat Titans Captain Shubham Gill and many ex cricketers condemn the attack.
A moment of utter joy and happiness turned into a nightmare at the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, as four to six terrorists opened gunfire on innocent people and murdered them.
As of reports, a total of 26 people have lost their lives, including 2 locals and foreigners in the list as well. The entire nation is currently shivering in shock, anger and extreme rage as the bloodshed in Kashmir took a new low.
In the aftermath of the devastating terrorist attack, the cricketing community's response has been a mix of commendable empathy and conspicuous silence. Although some have conjured up the voice to condemn this barbaric attack, the 'icons' of Indian cricket are so far just numb.
Shubman Gill, the captain of Gujarat Titans, stood out by promptly addressing the tragedy. He expressed his heartbreak over the incident and extended prayers to the victims and their families. His words resonated with many, reflecting a sense of solidarity and compassion expected from public figures in times of national grief.
"Heartbreaking to hear about the attack in Pahalgam. My prayers are with the victims and their families. Violence like this has no place in our country," Gill wrote on X
